Teaching should be done with passion. Once you find your students unable to understand a particular concept you should be ready to adapt new methods of teaching to explain to them. In my experience, a teacher should act as a guide to allow the student to choose and understand his method of learning. He should share his experiences which give vital life lessons. I always feel I learn from my students. The most recent words of appreciation from a parent that I have received are "I really appreciate the effort you put in to share the knowledge with the students". To add on, effort is the most important in my experience to get students to become comfortable in the learning process.
