The reason is simple for me, I enjoy the sense of achievement when my students see improvement in their tests or simply when they show the willingness to better themselves. At the same time, transferring knowledge to the younger generation is a fulfilling process for me and sometimes the students are able to teach me new things or open new perspectives for me too. As a local student myself, I understand the challenges that students face especially when it comes to learning a second language in Hong Kong. With my personal experiences and the learning strategies that I have developed over the years, I believe that I could help students figure out their own strengths, confidence and skills to overcome these challenges. I am currently a year-3 university student majoring in English and Spanish studies. I have been giving tutorial classes for 3 years now and I would like to continue exposing myself to various teaching experiences which would horn my skills to handle students with diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and educational needs. I believe with my experiences, my flexibility and eagerness to learn as an educator, I would be able to fine tune my teaching methods for each student and thus deliver meaningful and enjoyable lessons.經驗
2-4I always exert myself to adapt to the various needs of each student. In particular, I have a student who enjoys drawing and so I encourage him to start a doodle journey to document his everyday life with pictures and a short passage in English. My goal has always been to allow students to find the fun in learning because this is exactly how I achieved my academic success.
