我喜歡補習的最大原因？😁

The think I enjoy most about tutoring is the simple interactions with student and the ability to guide them towards a better understanding of their education. As an English tutor, i find the most interesting moments are when I am able to help my students in the classroom in a way that their teachers cannot do. I love how my students are able to appreciate and be thankful for understanding the concepts they otherwise would not get in class. Also, watching the students transform from having no understanding of the English Language to becoming confident users of the English Language is also really satisfying and rewarding.

My strengths as a tutor is my communication skills and my ability to bring out the best in students. I feel that intrinsically, every student in the classroom loves to learn, if they are taught in the right way. Students nowadays often have a short attention span, and it can be a challenge for tutors to capture student's attention. I feel that my ability to relate with the students and teach them while still having their attention most of the time is what I am naturally good at. For example, if a student is lacking behind in the class, I feel that bringing him down and pointing his/her flaws would further demotivate them. Rather, I would invite them out to participate in class and appreciate their effort, and build up their confidence. This can then make the student more eager to learn.

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to guide them and inspire them. Firstly, proper guidance is really crucial for students who cannot catch up with their teacher in class, and therefore opt for extra tutoring sessions. I feel like a tutor should really answer a student's question to the best of their ability and guide the student towards an easy experience in learning, which will further make them more confident and eager in their classes at school if they receive the proper guidance. Besides this, I think a tutor should inspire their students to learn In an interesting manner. Oftentimes, the lessons at school are pretty boring and bland, and students aren't very motivated to learn. My philosophy as a tutor is having a fun classroom, where students can destress from the daily lives while at the same time receive high quality education in an interesting manner.

關於我自己

I am Noor, and I am currently studying my fourth year of Bachelor Degree in English Studies at City University majoring in English Literature and Linguistics. I am ethnically Pakistani, but I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I can speak fluent English and moderate level of Cantonese. In my spare time, I love to go to the beach, or read some books on philosophy. I plan to become an English teacher in the future due to my profound interest in teaching, inspiring the next generation of students and having a meaningful impact on them.

I have been a tutor for the past 2.5 years. I started off tutoring when I was studying my associate degree in professional communication and English studies. So far, I've only had freelance tutoring experience, often teaching on a 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 basis. This is due to my recent schedule which allows me for more flexibility. However, since I am advancing towards my teaching career, I feel like I need some formal experience in a tutoring centre to advance my career.
