As an English tutor and lover, I love teaching students English because I hope that they would love English one day and that they would feel confident using English under my teaching. This is especially true in Hong Kong when students are being spoon-fed at school. I hope that I can do my best to elicit my students the target language so that they fully understand instead of reciting merely.
As an adept English tutor and a current HKU student studying English and language education, I believe I have both the knowledge and experience to teach English as a second language. The degree I am studying well equips me to become a professional English language teacher while my teaching experiences help me to put the theories I learnt into practice.
Tutors' major role is to clear students' misunderstanding and have instant follow-up regarding their learning progress. This is especially important for students who fail to catch up with school's teaching schedule. Tutors should also help unleash students' strength and point out their weakness.

Hi, I am Kristy, currently a Year 3 student of bachelor of arts and bachelor
of education in language education (English) in the University of Hong Kong. I have been teaching English since 2019 as a private tutor and English tutor at tutorial centers alike. Having taught both high achievers and low achievers, I have ample experience in teaching students' with different learning abilities.
I was an English tutor for two primary school students who have high English proficiency. For secondary school students, I have been teaching 3 students with relatively lower English proficiency. I assisted them in consolidating some basic grammar and vocabulary items.
